A Billing Engineer in a construction company is responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects. This includes preparing and verifying bills, ensuring accurate documentation
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and Verification of Bills:
Prepare monthly Running Account (RA) bills, client and subcontractor/vendor bills based on actual work completed.
Verify contractor invoices, quantity measurements, and rate analysis before processing payments.
Ensure billing aligns with the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), contract terms, and project specifications.
2. Measurement and Documentation:
Conduct on-site inspections to verify measurements before billing approval.
Maintain organized records of all billing documents such as BOQs, work orders, invoices, and receipts.
5. Coordination and Communication:
Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and supervisors to obtain timely measurements and updates.
Facilitate communication with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal finance for billing-related matters.
Assist in the preparation of final project accounts, incorporating all approved changes and settlements.
