Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties of a Civil Billing Engineer revolve around meticulous financial tracking and documentation.
Bill Preparation & Invoicing:
Preparing detailed invoices and bills (such as Running Account (RA) bills and final bills) for clients and subcontractors based on work completed on-site.
Quantity Measurement & Estimation:
Taking accurate measurements from the site, verifying them against blueprints and the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and preparing detailed quantity sheets.
Cost Control & Analysis:
Assisting with cost estimation, conducting rate analysis (breaking down costs into material, labor, and overhead), and ensuring the project remains within the established budget.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
Maintaining comprehensive records of all financial transactions, contracts, invoices, and material reconciliation statements to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Contract Management:
Understanding and interpreting tender and contract documents to handle payment terms, claims, variations (change orders), and resolve any potential payment disputes.
Coordination & Communication:
Liaising with site engineers, project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, vendors, and the accounts department to ensure smooth financial transactions and approvals.
