Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented

Billing Engineer

to oversee project billing, cost estimation, and contractual documentation for our construction/fabrication/installation projects. The role requires coordination with project managers, site teams, accounts, and clients to ensure timely preparation of bills, certifications, and compliance with contractual terms.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and verify running account (RA) bills, final bills, and subcontractor bills in line with project progress. Work with project execution teams to measure quantities, check site progress, and prepare detailed measurement sheets. Prepare cost estimations, rate analysis, and reconciliation of materials, labour, and machinery. Coordinate with clients/consultants for certification of bills and timely approvals. Track project financials including work orders, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements. Support tendering, BOQ preparation, and verification of drawings for billing purposes. Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and tax/GST implications in billing. Maintain records of all billing documents and liaise with the accounts/finance team for timely invoicing and payments. Prepare MIS reports related to billing, project cost, and cash flow. Assist in reconciliation of client payments and subcontractor/vendor settlements.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, BOQs, and rate analysis. Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project/Primavera (preferred), and AutoCAD (basic). Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Good understanding of taxation (GST, TDS) in billing. Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in billing/estimation in construction, infrastructure, or facade/fabrication projects.
