Billing Engineer (Civil)

Role Summary

The Billing Engineer (Civil) is responsible for

measurement, certification, and billing of construction works

for residential and commercial real estate projects. The role ensures

accurate quantity verification, contractor billing, cost control, and compliance with approved BOQs, drawings, and contracts

, supporting timely payments and financial discipline in the project.

Key Responsibilities1. Measurement & Quantity Verification

Prepare

detailed measurements (MB)

for all executed civil works including RCC, masonry, plaster, flooring, waterproofing, and finishing items Verify site quantities as per

approved drawings, specifications, and BOQ

Maintain

measurement records floor-wise, trade-wise, and contractor-wise

2. Contractor & Vendor Billing

Prepare and certify

RA Bills / Final Bills

for contractors and subcontractors Cross-check bills with

work orders, agreements, BOQ rates, and site measurements

Ensure deductions for

security deposit, retention money, penalties, and advances

3. BOQ & Cost Control

Assist in

BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and quantity take-offs

Track

budget vs actual quantities and costs

, highlighting deviations Support variation statements and

extra-item rate justifications

4. Coordination & Documentation

Coordinate with

site engineers, planning team, and accounts department

for billing approvals Maintain billing records, abstracts, comparison statements, and

cost reports

Support

audit, management reviews, and financial reconciliation

5. Compliance & Reporting

Ensure billing is compliant with

contract terms, company policies, and statutory requirements

Prepare

monthly billing summaries, cost statements, and cash-flow inputs

Assist in

final account settlement

at project completion

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

BOQ, MB, RA Bills, Final Bills

Proficient in

AutoCAD, Excel (advanced), and basic billing software

Understanding of

construction drawings, specifications, and execution methods

Good coordination and documentation skills High attention to

accuracy, timelines, and cost discipline

Educational Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering

Experience

2-6 years

of experience in billing for

real estate / high-rise residential or commercial projects

Preferred Industry Exposure

Real estate developers High-rise residential / mixed-use projects Contractor or PMC background (added advantage)

Pay: ?50,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
