Job description: Billing and Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation:

Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for civil works (roads, buildings, infrastructure).

Conduct quantity take-off from drawings and specifications.

Perform rate analysis for materials, manpower, and machinery.

Support in tendering processes by preparing competitive pricing strategies.

Evaluate subcontractor/vendor quotations and negotiate rates.

Billing:

Prepare and verify RA (Running Account) bills, final bills, and subcontractor bills.

Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams for bill certification.

Maintain proper records of work measurements, MB (Measurement Book), and reconciliations.

Ensure timely submission of bills and follow-up for client payments.

Prepare MIS reports on billing status and cash flow projections.

Contracts & Documentation:

Review contracts, work orders, and agreements to align estimation and billing.

Track deviations between estimated and actual quantities/costs.

Prepare reconciliation statements for cement, steel, and other major materials.

Support in dispute resolution related to billing/measurement issues.

Key Skills:

Strong knowledge of civil estimation, tendering, and billing procedures.

Hands-on experience with MS Excel, AutoCAD, and billing software (e.g., SAP/ERP, Candy, CCS, or similar).

Good understanding of IS codes, specifications, and SOR (Schedule of Rates).

Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to work with site teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
