Responsibilities:
Manage and develop a team of high performing individuals who handle billing in a high volume, deadline driven environment. Includes all phases of the employee lifecycle (recruiting, training, goal setting and performance management, etc.)
Analyze workflow distributions and reallocate resources as needed
Resolve billing escalations from the team; provide guidance to the team
Review work performed by team members for accuracy and consistency and monitor to ensure deadlines are met
Drive a consistent approach to measuring and achieving optimal operational performance through transparency and collaboration
Lead and participate in process improvement projects and champion positive change
Establish relationships with vendors, other managers, and internal customers (including partners) throughout the firm to influence the accomplishment of organizational goals
Execute and contribute to the firm's accounting strategy
Ensure that policies and procedures are in keeping with best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree of Commerce required. CA, CPA or MBA Finance preferred
Minimum of 6 years of Accounting/Billing of professional services or related experience in a complex organization required; including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred. Experience in an MNC / GCC setup with multiple time zone work environment preferred.
Experience with Workday Billing and Accounting tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint). Experience of working in ERP tools /Environment
Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills, diplomacy, and good judgment. Experience in coaching, managing, and developing a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to articulate complex issues with all levels within the firm
Adaptable to a changing environment; champions change and influences others to change Strong time management and organizational skills, proven ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects and processes, often under tight deadlines
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to research, diagnose and communicate complex issues.
