As a Big Data Infrastructure Architect, primary responsibility will be to design, implement and maintain the underlying infrastructure required to support large-scale big data solutions. This includes selecting the appropriate hardware and software components, configuring and optimizing the system for performance, and ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability. Some of the specific tasks you may be responsible for include:

• Designing and implementing the data storage layer, including selecting appropriate storage technologies such as Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), Amazon S3, or Azure Data Lake Storage.
• Designing and implementing the data processing layer, including selecting appropriate processing technologies such as Apache Flink, Apache Spark.
• Designing and implementing the data ingestion layer, including selecting appropriate ingestion technologies such as Apache NiFi, Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.
• Designing and implementing the data security layer, including defining access controls, encryption, and data masking policies.
• Designing and implementing the data governance layer, including defining data quality metrics, data lineage, and metadata management policies.
• Designing and implementing the disaster recovery and backup strategy, including defining recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO).

Requirements:

• Strong experience with NiFi, Flink, and Spark technologies.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and containerization technologies.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and data quality.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience leading technical teams is a plus.

Will work closely with other members of the team, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure that the infrastructure is meeting the needs of the organization. You may also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and architects, providing technical guidance and oversight, and ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
• Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor?s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master?s degree preferred
