Job Summary

The BIESSE Rovergold CNC Designer/Operator is responsible for preparing CNC programs, setting up and operating BIESSE Rovergold CNC machining centers for the production of wooden, composite, or engineered components. The role requires strong CAD/CAM skills, machine operation expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to production quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities1. CNC Programming & Design

Create and modify CNC programs using

BiesseWorks /

IMOS Interpret technical drawings, 2D/3D CAD files, and product specifications. Prepare machining strategies including toolpaths, feed rates, and cutting parameters. Optimize programs for efficiency, minimal waste, and maximum accuracy. Import and prepare design files (DXF, DWG, etc.) for CNC processing.

2. Machine Setup & Operation

Set up the

BIESSE Rovergold

CNC machine including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces. Perform daily calibration and machine checks. Load materials (MDF, plywood, solid wood, acrylic, composite panels) and ensure correct alignment. Execute machining jobs while monitoring tool wear, cutting accuracy, and surface finish. Adjust feeds, speeds, and parameters during runtime if needed.

3. Quality Control

Inspect finished components using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, gauges). Ensure all parts meet drawings, tolerances, and customer specifications. Identify and correct machining errors or deviations.

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Conduct routine machine maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, tool changes. Troubleshoot machine errors, alarms, and PLC/console issues. Coordinate with service technicians when needed.

5. Documentation & Workflow

Maintain records of programs, production runs, tooling usage, and maintenance logs. Follow production schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet delivery deadlines. Ensure proper material usage and report shortages.
