You will be working as Bids & Proposals Engineer-Automation and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager and will be responsible for support the sales assigned organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. Your responsibilities Undertaking all tasks from the analysis of customer requirements, calculation of costs and the preparation of offers for automation projects Analyzing of customer RFQ\'s and clarifying of customer requirements Using of inhouse calculation tools to determine the scope and costs of greenfield, brownfield automation projects and technical presentations to customers Preparing offers in coordination with the local sales unit, Global Sales Specialists and ensuring technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions are appropriate Participating in customer visits during their visits to local factory site and preparing product presentations in coordination with marketing manager Implementing global standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations or project execution and sharing functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization Your background Diploma or B.E in Electronics or Instrumentation or Mechanical Minimum 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in brownfield automation service projects- system upgrades, retrofits, HMI migration, third party system replacements and partial stepwise upgrade projects Knowledge of automation system architecture and experienced in conceptualizing automation requirements from customer RFQ into an optimized design Experience in working on technical proposals for projects comprising of automation systems- both greenfield & brownfield projects, specific DCS upgrade or retrofit project More about us Process Industries division delivers complete electrification and automation solutions, industry-specific products and lifecycle services across industries.
