Bid Manager, Solutions Development
Project & Development Services (PDS) - (Kolkata/India)
About the role
Pitching is the primary responsibility of the Solutions Development Team. The team provides end to end solutions for a pursuit in partnership with the business based on processes, criteria and strategic priorities of the firm.
Your role will also include supporting the regional sales strategy and growth of the business while working in partnership with the various business groups and sales leaders as required. In addition, you may also be asked to support the planning and carrying out of business development activities such as;
Accompanying the Solutions Development Directors to networking events and prospective client meetings,
Managing and tracking communication with prospects and clients, and
Developing personal relationships that drive the business development strategies of the company, improve understanding of clients, and ultimately achieve the desired impact on return on investment.
Core Skillset
The position calls for a solid foundation in project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight timelines. This person will support the new business initiative through Request For Information (RFI) and Request For Proposals (RFP) responses, specifically leading major local bids with a fee value > USD 1m or a strategic development client, and take responsibility for the end-to-end management of bids, including planning activities. The role will also manage contributions from the business against bid objectives and to deadline.
Detail Oriented
You will ensure adherence to all bid processes and documentation, conduct formatting, proofreading and copy checking, identify bid / proposal process improvements and best practice and use knowledge of competition, processes, clients or sectors / domains to bring to light any risks or gaps in the response, solution.
Research Savvy
As part of the regional team, you will be required to conduct regular market research and be responsible for actively contributing to the firm's knowledge management system. You will use knowledge of the competition, processes, clients or sectors / domains to bring to light any risks or gaps in the response, and solution.
