About the Role
We are looking for a
Bid Manager
who will take complete ownership of the daily bid process -- from identifying opportunities to ensuring timely submission. The role requires an individual who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously while coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers.
The Bid Manager will be responsible for
meeting daily bid targets
, ensuring
competitive pricing
, and maintaining
100% on-time bid submissions
.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and meet daily bid targets
as per management goals.
Source/get sourced relevant bids
daily from GEM, IREPS, and other government/corporate procurement portals.
Coordinate bid price sourcing
by identifying suppliers/vendors and obtaining competitive quotations.
Evaluate quotations
technically and commercially to prepare cost sheets and price comparisons.
Own the end-to-end bid submission process
-- from sourcing to price finalization to submission.
Ensure all bids are submitted on time
, error-free, and fully compliant with technical and commercial requirements.
Track bid status
(submitted, under evaluation, awarded, lost) and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
Maintain bid database
, supplier database, and historical pricing information for future reference.
Coordinate with internal teams
(technical, documentation, accounts) to gather necessary inputs for bid completion.
Continuously improve
process efficiency and accuracy in bid preparation and price sourcing.
Requirements
Graduate/Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline).
0-3 years of experience in
bidding, tender management, or procurement
(Government / Corporate).
Strong
MS Excel
skills (formulas, comparison sheets, data organization).
Excellent
Internet research and analytical ability
to identify opportunities and compare specifications.
Strong attention to detail, deadline orientation, and multitasking capability.
Good
communication and coordination skills
to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Understanding of
technical product specifications
in electrical/mechanical/electronic items is preferred.
Ownership mindset
- ability to manage bids independently and ensure timely completion.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Daily bid target achievement (% of planned vs submitted).
Bid submission accuracy (no errors or rejections).
Average turnaround time per bid.
Cost competitiveness / win rate improvement.
Supplier engagement and price sourcing efficiency.
