Job Description

An Upwork bidder, also known as a Business Development Executive or Online Bidder, is a professional who finds and secures business opportunities for a company on Upwork & many other freelancing platforms by identifying suitable projects, writing compelling proposals, communicating with potential clients to understand their needs, negotiating terms, and ultimately converting leads into successful projects.

Key responsibilities include researching projects, crafting tailored proposals, maintaining client relationships, coordinating with internal teams, and tracking bidding activities.

Core Responsibilities:



Project Identification:



Searching and selecting relevant projects on the Upwork platform that match the company's services and expertise.

Proposal Writing:



Crafting persuasive and well-researched proposals that clearly explain how the company's services can meet the client's specific needs.

Client Communication:



Interacting with potential clients to understand their requirements, answer questions, and demonstrate the value of the company's offerings.

Negotiation:



Negotiating project terms, conditions, and costs with clients to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.

Lead Conversion:



Coordinating with internal teams (e.g., sales, development) to ensure project feasibility and a successful conversion of leads into projects.

Relationship Management:



Building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with clients to foster long-term engagement.

Market Research:



Conducting in-depth research to understand market trends, competitor activities, and potential target geographies.

Reporting:



Tracking the progress of bids, proposals, and client interactions, and reporting on outcomes to management.

Required Skills



Communication:

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong English proficiency.

Negotiation:

The ability to effectively negotiate terms and conditions.

Proposal Writing:

Expertise in creating compelling and tailored proposals.

Interpersonal Skills:

The ability to build rapport and maintain positive client relationships.

Time Management:

Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple bids and deadlines.

Market Understanding:

A deep understanding of the services offered by the company and the ability to explain them to clients.

Qualifications



Previous experience in online bidding and client interaction.

Familiarity with freelancing platforms like Upwork, PeopleperHour, Simplyhired, Guru.com, Toptal.

A deep understanding of how to win projects on Upwork Upwork, PeopleperHour, Simplyhired, Guru.com, Toptal.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
