We are looking for a Reporting Sr. Analyst who specialize in gathering and analyzing data, preparing report by understanding the right representation technique for a given data set, create and implement process improvements throughout the reporting process. He/she will be liaising with business and technology teams to generate the reports. Expertise in Power BI is expected from the potential candidate. A business intelligence tool for analyzing and visualizing raw data to present actionable information. It combines business analytics and data visualization that help to make data-driven decisions. It helps share, discover and collaborate in intuitive ways.
What are we looking for? o 1+ years of experience for the desired candidate who need to be excellent in writing DAX in MS Power BI Desktop o Need to have experience in creating calculated measures and columns with DAX in MS Power BI Desktop o Strong domain knowledge in Retail Industry domain o Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, accustomed to work in a team environment with tight schedules and capable of working efficiently under pressure. Do POCs to showcase the capabilities of Microsoft Power BI to customer o Very strong SQL skills in at least one DB technology i.e. Teradata or any other database like Oracle, UDB. Teradata skills are preferred o Understanding of ETL process- good database knowledge and experience, should be able to write complex SQL queries o Good Hands-on Azure Stack - Azure SQL Datawarehouse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Analysis Services (AAS)
Roles and Responsibilities: o Minimum overall 4-6 years of experience in leading Analytics projects for large Retail clients o Experience in creating dashboards, volume reports, operating summaries, and presentations and graphs o SSRS Integration to Power BI o Power BI, to create dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop o Good Knowledge of DAX, Creating Calculated Columns, Measures and Calculated Tables. o Using DAX in data modelling and be able to write complex DAX queries o Scheduled Refreshing using Power BI Gateway. o DAX functions (Aggregation, Filter, Time Intelligence, Data & Time, Logical, Statistical) o Creating Tables, Stored Procedures, View and User Defined Functions as per business o Good knowledge on MS Excel and analyzing data on it. Also have good hands-on power pivot, Power query o Working in Agile methodology o Experience in Data Gateway for data refreshing, content Pack Library o Expert in publishing reports to app.powerbi.com and setting up the necessary connection details and scheduling o Excellent knowledge connecting Microsoft Power BI Desktop to various data sources. SQL Server is desirable o Proficient at data visualization using Power BI and a strong application development o Implementation of Row Level Security by defining various constraints for each defined role o 1+ years of experience on SQL Server 2012 or advanced versions. SQL Server 2016 is an added advantage o Good SQL knowledge and code optimization skills to improve performance of the reports for faster performance o Expert knowledge using advanced calculations using MS Power BI Desktop (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table) o Ability to showcase complete dashboard implementations that demonstrate visual best practices e g color themes visualization layout interactivity drill down capabilities filtering etc o Experience in gathering and translating end user requirements into effective efficient dashboards o Experience working with relational data sources like Oracle SQL Server and flat files good experience with cloud-based data sources e g Salesforce, Google, Azure
