Job Description

Responsibilities

Set up and operate

: Use machines like press brakes, shears, and saws to bend metal

Read drawings

: Use blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production

Position and clamp

: Use clamps, dies, and guide clamps to hold the metal in place

Perform quality checks

: Check the dimensions and shape of the metal before, during, and after bending

Maintain machines

: Service, lubricate, and repair machines

Troubleshoot

: Identify and fix problems that arise during production

Monitor production

: Ensure that production meets quality and efficiency standards

Train others

: Mentor and teach junior operators

Document work

: Keep records of production and maintenance
