Machine Operation and Setup:
Set up and calibrate the bending machine according to job specifications, including selecting and installing the correct punches, dies, and other tooling.
Operate bending machines to form, bend, and shape metal sheets, pipes, and other materials.
Follow standard operating procedures and adhere to production schedules to meet deadlines.

Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine bending requirements and material specifications.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and protractors to verify parts meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and are within the specified dimensions.
Collaborate with quality control staff and supervisors to resolve any issues and maintain consistent quality.
Safety and Maintenance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of the machine to ensure it is in good working condition.
Report any maintenance issues, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Other Duties:
Load and unload materials onto the machine, which may involve standing for long periods or lifting heavy items.
Assist more experienced operators with complex bending projects as needed.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. A technical certification or
ITI
(Industrial Training Institute)
diploma in mechanical or a related trade is preferred.
Experience:
0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Freshers with relevant vocational training are encouraged to apply.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, protractors).
Basic mathematical skills for calculating measurements and angles.
Mechanical aptitude and strong manual dexterity.
Familiarity with sheet metal properties and bending techniques is a plus.
