Position: Behavioural Therapist
Department: Student Wellness & Support
Location: School Campus Madhapur/Banjara Hills/Kukatpally
Reporting To: Special Educator / School Counsellor / Principal
Role Overview:
The Behavioural Therapist will work with students who exhibit behavioural, emotional, or social challenges. The role involves conducting assessments, creating Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs), and supporting teachers and parents in managing student behaviour in alignment with school policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Planning
Conduct behaviour assessments and functional behaviour analyses (FBA).
Develop Individual Behaviour Intervention Plans (BIP/IBP) for identified students.
Maintain accurate documentation of all assessments and interventions.
Intervention & Support
Provide one-on-one or small group behavioural therapy sessions.
Implement behaviour modification strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
Support teachers in classroom behaviour management techniques.
Collaboration & Training
Work closely with Special Educators, Counsellors, Teachers, and Parents.
Provide training/workshops for teachers on student behaviour management strategies.
Participate in IEP (Individual Education Plan) meetings and case discussions.
Communication & Reporting
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding progress.
Prepare monthly progress reports for each student under behavioural support.
Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's/Master's in Psychology / Child Psychology / Behavioural Science.
Certification or training in ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience working with children.
Strong observation, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
2. JOB DESCRIPTION - SPEECH THERAPIST
Position: Speech & Language Therapist
Department: Student Wellness & Support
Location: School Campus
Reporting To: Special Educator / Counsellor / Principal
Role Overview:
The Speech Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and communication difficulties. They will support both early intervention and ongoing school-based therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Diagnosis
Conduct speech and language evaluations for referred students.
Identify issues related to articulation, fluency, voice, receptive & expressive language.
Prepare detailed diagnostic reports and therapy plans.
Therapy & Intervention
Provide individual and group therapy sessions based on student needs.
Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques.
Develop speech and language goals as part of the IEP.
Collaboration
Work closely with teachers to integrate speech strategies in classroom learning.
Guide parents in at-home speech support exercises.
Collaborate with Special Educators, Occupational Therapists, and Counsellors.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate session notes, records, and progress reports.
Conduct periodic assessments to track improvements.
Ensure compliance with school policies and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's in Speech & Hearing / Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP/MASLP).
Valid RCI registration (mandatory as per Indian norms).
Strong knowledge of child communication development.
Experience with AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) is an advantage.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3. JOB DESCRIPTION - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Department: Student Wellness & Support
Location: School Campus
Reporting To: Special Educator / Counsellor / Principal
Role Overview:
The Occupational Therapist supports students with difficulties in motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, coordination, and functional independence. The OT helps students participate effectively in academic and daily school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Evaluation
Conduct detailed OT assessments for referred students.
Identify challenges related to fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory integration, handwriting, balance, and daily functioning.
Develop Individualized OT Plans based on assessment outcomes.
Therapeutic Intervention
Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions.
Support students with sensory needs through sensory regulation activities.
Improve fine motor, visual-motor integration, posture, and handwriting.
Recommend classroom modifications and adaptive equipment.
Collaboration
Work with teachers to support classroom ergonomics and accommodations.
Educate parents on home-based therapy exercises.
Collaborate with Behavioural, Speech, and Special Education teams.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain therapy records, attendance, and progress reports.
Provide periodic reassessments and updated recommendations.
Follow all safety, confidentiality, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's/Master's in Occupational Therapy (BOT/MOT).
Experience working with children in school or clinical settings.
Strong knowledge of sensory integration therapy.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to create child-centered intervention plans.
