Core responsibilities

Provide beauty treatments:

Perform services such as haircuts, coloring, and styling; makeup application; facials; waxing; and manicures and pedicures.

Consult with clients:

Assess clients' needs and goals, and recommend suitable treatments, products, and hairstyles.

Maintain hygiene and sanitation:

Ensure the work area is clean and all tools and equipment are properly sterilized to meet safety and hygiene protocols.

Manage appointments and records:

Greet clients, book appointments, and maintain accurate client records, including contact information and treatment history.

Promote products:

Recommend and sell beauty products and additional services to clients.
Skills and qualifications

Technical skills:

Proficiency in various beauty treatments and techniques, including hair, skin.

Communication skills:

Ability to communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations.

Knowledge of trends:

Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, products, and techniques.

Customer service:

Build and maintain a loyal client base through excellent service and professionalism.

Attention to detail:

A keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality results.

Professionalism:

Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.

Licensing:

May require a cosmetology or beautician license to practice.
