FunctionDigital & Information TechnologiesPay BandM3 to M5RoleWe are looking for an Engineering Manager who can be part of the Product Engineering & Architecture team and contribute to building the digital & IT platform. The role requires someone who is technically hands on with sound knowledge and experience in programming, system design, cloud engineering & architecture along with having managed high performing technology teams who build world class scalable and data intensive software. A proven track record in managing engineering projects involving software product development from conception to completion will be essential.A purpose driven role for you

• Technical Expertise:
• Utilize a deep understanding of engineering principles, system design and programming to provide technical guidance and support to the team
• Design and develop high quality code using the preferred programming languages (such as Java or JavaScript) to build the software product
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, product managers to make informed technical decisions and solve complex engineering challenges

• Leadership & Project Management
• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the engineering team
• Set clear goals, foster a collaborative environment and ensure the team's overall success
• Motivate team members, encourage innovation and promote professional development
• Oversee the planning, execution and completion of product development projects
• Co-ordinate tasks, allocate resources effectively and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Manage vendor teams and resources

• Processes & Standards
• Adhere and evangelize the standard industry processes and practices
• Ensure agile mode of software development
• Work with the dev/ops team to implement CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure adherence to security guidelines and standards

A Day in the lifeThe role requires someone who is technically hands on with sound knowledge and experience in programming, system design, cloud engineering & architecture along with having managed high performing technology teams who build world class scalable and data intensive software. A proven track record in managing engineering projects involving software product development from conception to completion will be essential.Academic Qualification & Experience

• BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/MCA
• 8-10 years of experience in related domain

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Strong knowledge and development experience in any one or more of the following domains: web application development, API development, cloud engineering
• Strong knowledge in system design and architecture of highly scalable, modular and data driven applications
• Proven experience in Engineering Manager or Lead roles in one or more of the following areas: startups, automobile, retail, Saas
• Strong technical background and hands on experience in Java programming, spring/spring boot
• Experience in microservices architecture
• Experience in event driven and asynchronous architecture
• Strong knowledge in cloud services: AWS or Azure
• Proven experience in handling cross functional teams, vendors and business stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of cyber security concepts and processes
• Experience in agile (scrum) software development process
• Hands on knowledge and experience in Jira
