Business Development Manager - Institutional Sales

Location :

New Delhi / Mumbai

Salary Range :

06 Lacs to 7.5 Lacs

Experience

: 5-6 years of HORECA/Institutional sales experience with proven targets delivery.

Qualification :

Graduate in Business/Marketing (MBA preferred).

We're looking for a seasoned sales professional who knows how to build relationships, close deals, and expand markets across HORECA, Corporates, hospitals , educational institutions & government sectors.

Key Responsibilities :



New Business & Revenue Growth



Identify, approach, and acquire new institutional clients in assigned territories.

Build and manage a strong sales funnel across HORECA, corporates, and bulk buyers.

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets as per AOP.

Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and close high-value deals.

Account Management



Maintain long-term relationships with procurement heads, chefs, purchase managers, and key decision-makers.

Ensure superior after-sales service and timely order fulfilment for repeat business.

Enhance product visibility and placement within institutional accounts.

Market Expansion & Intelligence



Monitor competitor products, pricing trends, and market developments.

Explore new business opportunities in CSD/CPC, MNC cafeterias, airline catering, and event catering agencies.

Identify and lead participation in trade exhibitions, tasting sessions, and category promotion events.

Operations & Coordination



Collaborate with internal teams (production, dispatch, finance) for smooth delivery operations.

Ensure compliance with payment cycles and credit policies.

Provide regular weekly MIS reports, pipeline updates, and sales forecasts.

Required Skills & Competencies



- Proven track record in Institutional Sales within the FMCG/Food category.

- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and closing skills.

- Deep understanding of HORECA procurement systems and distributor networks.

- Analytical thinker with solid market knowledge.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.

Qualification & Experience



- Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing (MBA preferred).

- 5-6 years of hands-on experience in HORECA/Institutional sales with proven target achievements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):



- Institutional channel revenue growth.

- New account acquisition per quarter.

- Retention rate and repeat business from key clients.

- Territory expansion and distributor onboarding.

- Timely collections and adherence to payment terms.
