The Business Development Trainee will support the sales and BD team in identifying
business opportunities, preparing proposals, coordinating with customers, and
assisting in market research--especially in defence, government, and public
segments.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales Support
Assist in identifying new business opportunities in defence, government, PSU, and public sectors
Support lead generation through email, calls, LinkedIn, exhibitions, and references
Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and presentations
Customer & Partner Coordination
Coordinate with customers for meetings, demos, and follow-ups
Support communication with system integrators, OEMs, and channel partners
Track customer requirements and relay them to technical teams
Tender & Documentation Support
Assist in
o Tender search (GeM, CPPP, state portals, defence tenders)
o Pre-bid queries and compliance matrix preparation
o Document collation for technical and commercial bids
Maintain records of submissions and deadlines
Market & Competitive Research
Conduct market research on GNSS products
Prepare basic reports on market trends and customer needs
Internal Coordination
Work closely with Hardware, Software, and QA teams
Track order execution milestones and customer commitments
Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in:
o Engineering / Technology
o Management / Business / Marketing
o Science or related field
(MBA/PGDM candidates preferred but not mandatory)
Skills Required
Good communication (spoken & written)
Basic understanding of sales and business processes
MS Office Workspace proficiency
Willingness to learn technical products
Ability to follow up and track multiple tasks
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Knowledge of:
Defence procurement process
Tenders / GeM portal
Electronics, GNSS, or embedded systems
Familiarity with PPT and proposal drafting
