To provide academic leadership, manage day-to-day departmental operations, ensure quality teaching and curriculum delivery, and foster an environment conducive to academic excellence and professional development in the BCA department.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
Lead the BCA department in academic planning, curriculum development, and implementation.
Ensure alignment with university/college academic standards and regulatory requirements.
Promote innovative teaching-learning methodologies and industry-integrated practices.
Administration & Management:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of faculty members, supporting staff, and students.
Prepare departmental budgets, timetables, and workload allocation.
Conduct departmental meetings and maintain academic discipline.
Faculty Development:
Mentor and support faculty in their professional growth and academic contributions.
Organize faculty development programs, seminars, and workshops.
Student Development:
Monitor student progress and take proactive measures for academic improvement.
Support placement, internship, and career guidance initiatives for BCA students.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NAAC, NBA).
Coordinate internal assessments, feedback collection, and continuous evaluation.
Industry & Academic Collaboration:
Build linkages with industry, alumni, and other academic institutions.
Facilitate guest lectures, industrial visits, and live projects for experiential learning.
Research and Publications:
Encourage faculty and students to undertake research and publish in reputed journals.
Organize conferences, symposiums, and case study competitions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/IT.
Minimum 3-5 years of teaching/academic experience, with leadership or administrative exposure.
Strong knowledge of BCA curriculum and academic regulations.
Skills Required:
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving ability.
Familiarity with NAAC/NBA/UGC/AICTE norms.
Proficient in the use of academic management software and digital tools.
