Job Description


Description Design Life Cycle Management &/or design responsibilities for next generation battery mechanical & thermal components including but notrestricted to battery housings, cooling plates, venting & cooling lines, rupture discs, busbars, mounting bracketsto meet highly demandingcomponent requirements. Coming up with novel design concepts & solutions for Hybrid & Electric vehicle batteries. This includes understanding component requirements,preparing concept design, working with Mechanical Dev. team, Simulation teams,active participation in DFMEAs, working closelywithinternational suppliers, contributing to preparing Component Specification documents, interaction with purchase & quality teams,failure analysis,interaction with assembly plant & service teams. Deviation management, Change Management, Documentation & Release Management. Onsite travels to Germany on rotationbased on project requirements. Qualifications B.E./M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical or equivalent. Experience in Powertrain / Battery component design. Strong fundamentals of engineering design for powertrain components + Nx skills. Strong Product Life Cycle management experience.BTV experience preferred. Good awareness & understanding of PHEV/EV battery mechanical & thermal components. Awareness of latest trends in EV battery design. Strong Communication skills. German language skills highly preferred. Must be a Team player with Problem solving skills.
