Job Description

We are seeking a

dynamic and motivated Diploma Engineer Trainee

to join our Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) Battery Assembly Line. The candidate will support cell preparation, cell grading, module/pack assembly, laser welding, BMS fixing, and battery testing cycles. This role provides hands-on learning about EV battery manufacturing processes and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities - LFP Battery Assembly Line (EV Automobile)



Cell Assembly & Welding



Arrange and stack cells as per module configuration, Perform nickel strip placement & spot weld or laser weld connections

Operate

battery laser welding machines

following SOPs, Ensure weld strength, alignment & quality consistency

Cell Charge & Cell Grading



Perform cell charging/discharging using automated cyclers, Monitor grading equipment & measure cell performance parameters

Classify cells based on capacity, voltage, IR & consistency, Maintain accurate grading test logs

Module / Pack Assembly



Connect cells into module/pack structure, Install BMS, busbars, connectors, wiring harness, insulation pads & temperature sensors

Perform torque tightening and insulation application, Follow mechanical and electrical safety standards

Battery Charging & Discharge Cycle Test



Execute formation charge-discharge cycles, Monitor temperature, voltage, current, IR, capacity & cycle time

Identify and report abnormal behavior or safety concerns

Quality & Documentation



Conduct in-process inspection and final pack validation, Perform insulation resistance tests, short-circuit checks, and leak check (if applicable)

Maintain assembly logs, quality sheets and calibration records

Safety & Process Compliance



Follow ESD standards, PPE usage and battery handling safety, Strictly adhere to LFP cell safety guidelines & fire safety measures

Maintain 5S, discipline, and clean work environment

Required Skills & Competencies



Basic understanding of EV battery systems

Knowledge of electrical measurement tools:(multimeter, IR tester, torque wrench, crimping tools, calipers)

Ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols

Strong observation, precision and documentation discipline

Willingness to learn advanced battery manufacturing tools & automation

Qualification



Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering



0-2 years experience
