The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role ensures high customer satisfaction, maintains bar cleanliness, manages inventory, and adheres to all safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Beverage Preparation & Service
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
Create signature cocktails when required.
Ensure accuracy in orders and timely service.
2. Guest Interaction
Greet guests warmly and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
Maintain a welcoming, engaging atmosphere at the bar.
Handle guest complaints courteously and escalate when necessary.
3. Bar Operations
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar stations, glassware, equipment, and storage areas.
Follow opening and closing procedures.
4. Compliance & Safety
Check identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Practice responsible alcohol service.
5. Cash & Inventory Management
Process payments accurately via cash, card, or POS systems.
Maintain accurate records of bar stock and report low inventory.
Prevent loss through proper handling and monitoring of beverage supplies.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of mixology, cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in responsible alcohol service (optional / region-specific).
