Position: Barista/Waitress

Location: Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

At Big Poppas Bistro, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Waitress/Hostess to join our team and contribute to the success of our dynamic culinary establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Guest Greeting: Welcome guests warmly as they enter the restaurant.

- Seating and Menus: Seat guests and present menus, offering recommendations and answering questions about menu items.

- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring clarity and attention to detail.

- Order Relay: Communicate orders to the kitchen and bar staff, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.

- Serving: Serve food and beverages courteously and efficiently, adhering to service standards.

- Guest Check-ins: Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or special requests.

- Payment Processing: Accurately process guest payments, handling cash and credit card transactions with care.

- Dining Area Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing tables, resetting them for new guests, and assisting with general cleaning duties as needed.

- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure smooth and efficient service operations.

- Professionalism: Uphold high standards of professionalism and hospitality, representing the brand positively at all times.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in English.

- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry is preferred, but not required.

- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.

- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Ability to commute/relocate: Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package
