Role Summary
The Barista Chef (Senior Barista) will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation, maintaining equipment standards, and supporting daily cafe operations. The role also includes mentoring junior staff and coordinating with the kitchen team to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve a wide range of specialty coffee and beverages, including espresso-based drinks, hot and cold beverages, Latte, Americano, and seasonal specials.
Ensure proper operation, calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of coffee machines and related equipment.
Maintain consistency in beverage quality, taste, and presentation as per brand standards.
Coordinate closely with the kitchen team for desserts, croissants, pancakes, and breakfast menu items.
Manage counter operations and ensure efficient service during peak business hours.
Train, guide, and supervise junior baristas to maintain service and quality standards.
Monitor and manage stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other consumables.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
Handle customer interactions professionally and address service-related concerns promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Senior Barista or Barista Chef.
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and beverage preparation.
Experience in handling and maintaining professional coffee machines.
Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
High standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification or formal training in Barista skills (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience working in a cafe, coffee shop, or hospitality environment.
