Chihiro is a new cafe and bakehouse in Lucknow that blends the calm of a neighbourhood coffee space with the craft of a modern kitchen. Our menu is built around honest food: sandwiches, brunch plates, and bakes made from scratch, rooted in comfort but layered with creativity.
Led by our Head Pastry Chef & Owner, who trained in a Michelin-star kitchen and worked across large-scale bakeries in Canada and India, Chihiro is designed to be a space where good food and good energy go hand in hand. The kitchen runs on collaboration, curiosity, and craft; every team member contributes ideas, experiments, and takes pride in the details.
Position Overview
We're looking for a skilled
Barista
who can brew great coffee and create an equally great guest experience. This role covers espresso preparation, drink consistency, POS order-taking, guest service, basic beverage prep, and maintaining the overall cleanliness and flow of the coffee bar.
Our drinks menu includes espresso-based beverages, iced coffees, teas, matcha, and seasonal specials, crafted to complement our sandwiches, brunch plates, and fresh bakes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare espresso-based drinks, cold coffees, teas, matcha, and seasonal beverages with consistency.
Manage daily calibration, grinder settings, and equipment care.
Take customer orders on the POS system accurately and efficiently.
Provide warm, attentive service -- guiding guests through the menu and pairing suggestions.
Maintain hygiene and cleanliness at the coffee bar, FOH counters, fridges, and equipment.
Work closely with the Assistant Barista and FOH team to ensure smooth service flow.
Keep track of inventory: milk, beans, ice, syrups, teas, and daily restocks.
Participate in beverage R&D for specials and new drink ideas.
Uphold Chihiro's hospitality standards -- calm, patient, and detail-focused.
Skills & Experience
1-2 years of barista or cafe FOH experience preferred.
Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and drink consistency.
Ability to run a fast, efficient coffee bar during peak hours.
Comfort with POS systems, billing, and accurate order handling.
Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and equipment cleaning routines.
Excellent communication and guest interaction skills.
Team-first mindset -- collaborative, respectful, and eager to learn.
Compensation
Salary based on experience and skill (competitive for Lucknow market).
