Job Title: Experienced Barista / All-Rounder
Location: Cafe Khoblu
Reporting To: Cafe Manager / Operations Head
Role Overview
Responsible for coffee preparation, beverage service, and supporting overall cafe operations
Ensure consistent drink quality, smooth service flow, and a welcoming guest experience
Act as an all-rounder by assisting in service, billing, prep, and basic kitchen coordination when required
Key Responsibilities
1. Coffee and Beverage Preparation
Prepare espresso-based beverages, manual brews, teas, and cafe drinks as per recipes and standards
Calibrate and operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
Maintain consistency in taste, temperature, and presentation of all beverages
Communicate beverage-related menu changes or shortages to the team
2. Service and Guest Experience
Take orders, explain menu items, and guide guests on beverage choices
Coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth order flow and timely service
Handle guest queries, feedback, and minor complaints professionally
Maintain calm and efficiency during rush hours
3. All-Rounder Duties and Operational Support
Assist with table service, billing, counter operations, and takeaway orders
Step in to support service staff or kitchen coordination during staff shortages
Help with opening and closing procedures for the cafe
Support daily operations to ensure uninterrupted service
4. Hygiene, Safety, and Cleanliness
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform discipline
Ensure cleanliness of bar, counters, machines, and service areas
Follow food safety and hygiene standards as per cafe SOPs
Handle equipment safely and report any issues immediately
5. Inventory and Stock Handling
Monitor daily bar stock including coffee, milk, syrups, and disposables
Assist in stock rotation, FIFO practices, and wastage control
Inform management about low stock or ordering requirements
6. Teamwork and Discipline
Work collaboratively with kitchen, service staff, and management
Follow instructions and SOPs diligently
Maintain punctuality, responsibility, and professionalism
Set an example for junior baristas and service staff
7. Training and Skill Development
Assist in training junior baristas and new staff
Participate in tastings, menu trials, and skill upgrades
Stay updated with brewing methods, cafe practices, and service standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
