Job Title: Barista
Department: Food & Beverage / Cafe Operations
Reports To: Cafe Manager / Outlet Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures consistency in taste, presentation, hygiene, and overall guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, and specialty drinks
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
Ensure consistency in coffee quality, taste, and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station as per food safety standards
Handle customer orders, customize beverages, and address customer queries
Follow standard recipes and portion control
Manage stock of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and disposables
Assist in billing and cash handling if required
Follow opening and closing procedures of the cafe
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment
Customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and consistency
Teamwork and positive attitude
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Barista training / certification preferred
Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a Barista (freshers with training can apply)
Experience in cafes, hotels, or coffee chains preferred
Work Conditions:
Rotational
shifts including weekends and holidays
Standing for long hours
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
