Deliver high-quality beverages and warm service to staff, clients, and visitors by operating the in-house coffee station, maintaining hygiene, and enhancing office culture.
2. Key Responsibilities
a. Beverage Preparation & Service:
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks(e.g., cappuccinos, lattes, americanos), teas, smoothies, and specialty brews.
Customize drinks according to individual preferences (e.g., dairy alternatives, sugar levels, etc.).
Ensure consistent temperature, presentation, and taste of beverages.
b. Customer Service:
Provide friendly, courteous, and efficient service to employees, guests, and visitors.
Respond promptly to beverage requests, questions, and feedback.
Take and confirm orders with attention to detail and service speed.
c. Equipment Handling & Maintenance
Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders, drip brewers, and other cafe equipment.
Clean and maintain machines daily to ensure safety and beverage quality.
Report equipment issues to maintenance or management promptly.
d. Inventory & Supplies:
Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, teas, syrups, and other consumables.
Restock ingredients and consumables as needed throughout the day.
Coordinate with the admin team or vendors for reordering and stock replenishment.
Ensure proper storage and labeling of perishable and non-perishable items.
e. Hygiene & Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including barista station, counters, tables, seating areas, coffee stations and all related equipments
Follow hygiene and safety protocols, including proper handling of food and beverages.
Conduct daily cleaning routines and scheduled deep cleaning.
f. Administrative Support
Support hospitality for internal meetings, client visits, and special office events.
Assist in curating beverage menus for corporate gatherings or wellness initiatives.
Track beverage consumption trends and prepare weekly usage reports.
3. Collaboration & Workplace Culture
Collaborate with the facilities or hospitality team to ensure a premium employee experience.
Act as a brand ambassador for the workplace cafe or pantry services.
Contribute to team events and culture-building initiatives (e.g., coffee tastings or "Latte Fridays").
4. Reporting & Coordination:
Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Office Manager.
Keep a log of daily beverage consumption, feedback, and any incidents.
Suggest improvements to enhance the service experience or beverage variety.
5. Compliance & Safety
Adhere to food safety standards as per FSSAI or other applicable regulations.
Ensure knowledge of allergy management and clearly label drink ingredients when needed.
Participate in occasional training or certification updates.
6. Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
5+ years of experience as a Barista in a cafe, hotel, or office setting.
Skilled in operating espresso machines, grinders, milk frothers, and other coffee equipment.
Strong understanding of various brewing methods and coffee bean varieties.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Good time management and ability to multitask under pressure.
Preferred:
Barista certification or formal training.
Knowledge of non-dairy and wellness beverage trends (plant-based, keto-friendly, etc.).
Experience working in a hospitality-driven or corporate environment.
