Core Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation:

Making and serving coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other specialty beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.

Customer Service:

Greeting customers, taking orders, providing menu recommendations, and handling payments.

Equipment Operation:

Safely and efficiently operating espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other brewing equipment.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

Ensuring the work area, including workstations and customer seating areas, is clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Inventory Management:

Restocking supplies like cups, lids, and ingredients, as well as potentially placing orders for new supplies.

Cash Handling:

Accurately processing transactions and handling cash and card payments.

Teamwork:

Collaborating with other baristas and staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Customer Education:

Informing customers about menu items, brewing methods, and coffee blends.
Additional Responsibilities (may vary by establishment):

Food Preparation:

Assisting with basic food preparation tasks like making sandwiches or preparing pastries.

Training:

Potentially training new baristas or assisting with staff onboarding.

Drive-Thru Operations:

Managing a drive-thru window, if the establishment has one.

Upselling/Promotions:

Suggesting new items or promotions to customers.
