Job Title: Bar Manager
Reports to: F&B Manager / Operations Head / Owner
Location: Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all bar operations (staffing, scheduling, workflow) o Recruitment, training, performance appraisal of bar staff o Inventory management: ordering, stock control, cost optimization, wastage control o Vendor management, negotiate pricing, quality assurance o Ensuring compliance with liquor licensing, health & safety, regulatory norms o Budgeting, P&L management, revenue forecasting o Conceptualize bar menus, specials, pricing strategies o Ensure high standards of consistency, service, presentation o Handle customer complaints, feedback, ensure customer satisfaction o Coordinate with restaurant, kitchen, events for integrated operations
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong experience in bar / beverage operations (3-7 years), including supervisory roles o Leadership, team management skills o Financial acumen: cost control, budgeting, margin management o Deep knowledge of beverages, cocktails, trends, mixology o Excellent communication, vendor negotiation o Understanding of legal / compliance issues (licenses, safety)
