Job Summary
The Banquet Sales Manager is responsible for selling, planning, and coordinating banquet, conference, wedding, and event business. The role focuses on maximizing revenue through proactive sales efforts while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction by coordinating closely with operations and service teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
Generate banquet and event revenue by selling meeting spaces, food & beverage packages, and related services
Handle inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals
Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding planners, and travel agents
Achieve monthly and annual banquet sales targets
Event Planning & Coordination
Conduct site inspections and client meetings
Prepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with accurate details
Coordinate with kitchen, banquet operations, housekeeping, and AV teams to ensure smooth execution
Ensure all client requirements are met before, during, and after events
Client Service & Satisfaction
Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event lifecycle
Handle special requests, last-minute changes, and complaints professionally
Conduct post-event follow-ups to gather feedback and encourage repeat business
Administrative & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and client databases
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and revenue analysis
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and SOPs
Qualifications & SkillsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
Experience
2-5 years of experience in hotel sales, banquet sales, or event management
Experience in a hotel, resort, or large event venue preferred
Skills
Strong negotiation and sales skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Proficiency in sales systems, PMS, and MS Office
