The Banquet Captain supervises and manages banquet event operations from planning through execution, coordinating staff, and ensuring excellent guest service during events.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee banquet staff, coordinating assignments and monitoring performance during events.
Liaise with clients and event managers to understand requirements and ensure specifications are met.
Supervise setup and teardown of banquet halls and dining areas according to event orders.
Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to deliver food and beverage service smoothly.
Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any service issues on the spot.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout events.
Provide training and support to banquet staff.
Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment.
Employer Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or event management training is advantageous.
Prior experience in banquet or event supervision roles.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Customer service oriented with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks during events.
Flexibility in work hours, including evenings and weekends.
