The Banquet Sales Executive is responsible for generating banquet and event business by selling function space, catering services, and customized event solutions. This role works closely with clients and internal teams to plan and execute successful meetings, weddings, conferences, and social events while achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new banquet and event sales opportunities
Respond to client inquiries, prepare proposals, contracts, and event quotations
Conduct site inspections and client meetings to promote banquet facilities
Coordinate event details with clients, including menus, layouts, audiovisual needs, and timelines
Liaise with banquet operations, culinary, and service teams to ensure flawless event execution
Achieve assigned sales targets and maximize revenue through upselling and cross-selling
Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and event details in the sales system
Follow up with clients before and after events to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies
Participate in sales calls, networking events, and promotional activities
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in banquet sales, event sales, or hospitality sales
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
Knowledge of banquet operations and catering services
Proficiency in MS Office and sales/property management systems
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
