Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Manual Test Engineer with 8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in end-to-end testing processes in utility domain (AMI, Smart Grid, DERs, EMS). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the end-to-end tests to validate the functionality, performance and reliability of our utility solutions through meticulous manual testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of utility industry processes, regulations, and best practices, coupled with a proven track record of delivering high-quality testing services.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• 8 - 10 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, with a focus on end-to-end testing in the utility domain.
• Knowledge of utility industry processes, regulations, and standards.
• Proven experience in creating and executing comprehensive end-to-end test plans and test cases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies relevant to end-to-end testing in the utility sector.

Technologies:
1. Good cloud technology knowledge including Azure Event Hub, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, etc.
2. Hands on experience in Azure Dev Ops
3. Good knowledge of database and SQL queries to perform data validation.
4. Ability to understand and work with data models relevant to utility domain (AMI, Smart Grid, DERs, EMS).

Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Location:
Bangalore is preferable.

Job Responsibilities:

End-to-End Test Planning and Strategy:

• Develop and execute comprehensive end-to-end test plans and strategies based on project requirements and utility domain knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing scope and objectives for end-to-end testing initiatives.

Manual Testing Execution:

• Conduct thorough manual end-to-end testing of utility applications to ensure seamless integration and performance across all components.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to validate software quality.

Domain Expertise:

• Leverage extensive experience in the utility domain to identify and address domain-specific testing challenges.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements to enhance testing processes.
• Familiarity with architecture of utility management systems and interaction between various components
• Ability to assess system architecture to identify potential testing scenarios.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and functionalities.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a collaborative and efficient testing process.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
• Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress and issues to project stakeholders.
