Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Duties

Diagnose and treat patients using

Ayurvedic principles

(e.g., Dosha analysis, Prakriti assessment). Prescribe

herbal medicines

, dietary regimens, and lifestyle modifications. Perform/supervise

Panchakarma therapies

(e.g., Virechana, Basti) with trained therapists. Manage chronic conditions (e.g., arthritis, diabetes, digestive disorders) with Ayurvedic protocols.

2. Integration & Collaboration

Coordinate with allopathic doctors for

complementary care

(if hospital permits integrative medicine). Refer cases to modern medicine specialists when required (e.g., emergencies, surgical needs).

3. Compliance & Documentation

Maintain

patient records

as per CCIM/NCISM and hospital guidelines. Ensure all prescriptions include

BAMS registration number

(mandatory by law). Adhere to

biomedical waste rules

for Ayurvedic pharmacies/therapies.

4. Health Promotion

Conduct workshops on

preventive Ayurveda

(e.g., seasonal routines, Yoga). Supervise Ayurvedic wellness programs (e.g., detox camps, stress management).

5. Administrative Duties

Train nursing staff on Ayurvedic drug administration. Manage pharmacy inventory (herbal medicines, medicated oils).

Qualifications & Skills

1. Mandatory Requirements

Degree

: Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) from a

CCIM-recognized college

.

Registration

: Valid license from

NCISM/State Ayurvedic Council

(attach registration number).

Experience

: 3-5 years in clinical Ayurveda

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
