The BAMS / BDS Doctor will be responsible for handling
ECHS patient coordination, medical documentation, verification, and billing processes
in compliance with ECHS guidelines. The role involves close coordination with doctors, billing staff, and ECHS authorities to ensure smooth claim processing and timely settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify
ECHS patient eligibility
, referral letters, and documents as per ECHS norms
Scrutinize
case papers, investigation reports, prescriptions, and discharge summaries
Ensure treatments, procedures, and investigations are
as per ECHS approved rates and guidelines
Coordinate with treating consultants for
medical justification and documentation
Prepare, review, and authenticate
ECHS bills, estimates, and final claims
Ensure
accuracy of coding, procedures, and tariffs
before claim submission
Liaise with
ECHS Polyclinics, Station Headquarters, and Record Offices
when required
Handle
ECHS claim queries, objections, and resubmissions
Maintain proper
ECHS patient records, files, and MIS reports
Support internal audits and ECHS inspections
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and ECHS rules
Eligibility & Qualifications:
BAMS / BDS
degree from a recognized university
Experience:
1-3 years experience in
ECHS billing / medical administration
preferred
Freshers with ECHS exposure or hospital billing knowledge may be considered
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
ECHS policies, CGHS/ECHS rates, and documentation
Good understanding of
medical terminology and procedures
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
Good communication skills (Hindi & English preferred)
Basic computer skills (HIS, MS Excel, Word)
