We are seeking a passionate and motivated Bakery Pastry Trainee to join our team. This is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on experience in the art of pastry and bakery production. The trainee will assist in the preparation, baking, and presentation of high-quality bakery and pastry items while learning the fundamentals of professional baking.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing bakery and pastry products such as breads, cakes, cookies, tarts, and croissants.
Learn and follow recipes, portion sizes, and food presentation techniques.
Support the team in daily baking and pastry production tasks.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards.
Help in receiving and storing bakery ingredients and supplies.
Operate basic bakery equipment under supervision (mixers, ovens, etc.).
Ensure proper labeling and storage of ingredients and finished products.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including mise en place and end-of-day clean-up.
Requirements:
A strong interest in baking and pastry arts.
Enrolled in or recently completed a culinary or baking program (preferred but not required).
Basic understanding of baking ingredients and techniques.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen.
Flexible with shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
