A Bakery Demi-Chef de Partie (DCDP) assists the Chef de Partie in managing a specific bakery section, focusing on
preparing, baking, and decorating quality breads, pastries, and desserts
; maintaining
strict hygiene/food safety
; managing
inventory/stock rotation
; and potentially
training junior staff
, all while ensuring consistent output and supporting the head chef with new recipes and operations.
Core Responsibilities:
Production:
Prepare and bake a variety of items (breads, cakes, pastries, desserts) following established recipes and quality standards.
Quality Control:
Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring it meets company standards.
Hygiene & Safety:
Maintain a clean, organized workstation, adhering to all health, safety, and HACCP regulations.
Inventory:
Assist with monitoring, stocking, rotating ingredients, and minimizing waste.
Teamwork & Training:
Collaborate with the culinary team, support colleagues, and train entry-level staff (Commis chefs).
Equipment:
Operate and maintain bakery equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
Innovation:
Contribute to new menu items and creative recipes.
Key Skills & Attributes:
