The Bakery Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, pastries, breads, and desserts while maintaining excellent food standards, creativity, and consistency. This role includes recipe development, daily production, inventory management, and ensuring all bakery items meet company quality and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, bake, and finish a wide range of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty desserts.
Develop new recipes and seasonal menu items that reflect quality, innovation, and cost efficiency.
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all bakery products.
Monitor oven temperatures, mixing times, and ingredient measurements to ensure accuracy.
Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; place orders when necessary.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment following food safety guidelines.
Supervise junior bakers or assistants when required, providing training and guidance.
Inspect equipment and tools; report maintenance needs promptly.
Follow proper food handling, storage, and hygiene protocols.
Meet daily production timelines, ensuring products are ready for service or sale.
