Job Title: Bakery Chef Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Bakery Chef to lead our bakery team and oversee all aspects of our bakery operations. The Bakery Chef will be responsible for developing recipes, managing production, ensuring quality control, and leading a team of bakers and pastry chefs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, strong leadership skills, and the ability to innovate and create delicious baked goods. Experience: 5-10 years Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development:
  • Develop and create new recipes for a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts.
  • Experiment with different ingredients, flavors, and techniques to innovate and enhance our bakery offerings.
  • Consider dietary restrictions and preferences when developing recipes, including gluten-free, vegan, and allergen-friendly options.
  • Production Management:
  • Oversee all aspects of bakery production, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking.
  • Coordinate production schedules to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked goods while minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies and coordinate orders as needed.
  • Quality Control:
  • Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all baked goods produced in the bakery.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tastings to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Address any issues or concerns related to product quality promptly and effectively.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and supervise a team of bakers, pastry chefs, and bakery assistants, providing guidance, training, and feedback as needed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, creativity, and excellence in execution.
  • Schedule and coordinate staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage during peak production times.
  • Hygiene and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
  • Train staff on safe food handling practices and ensure adherence to hygiene protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the bakery facility to identify and address any potential hazards or violations.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Interact with customers and provide assistance with product selection, recommendations, and special orders.
  • Gather feedback from customers and incorporate suggestions into menu development and product offerings.
  • Maintain a welcoming and customer-friendly atmosphere in the bakery.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a pastry chef or bakery chef, preferably in a high-volume bakery or pastry shop.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification in baking and pastry arts.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Creative flair and passion for innovation in baking and pastry arts.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: 25,000.00 - 31,793.62 per month Schedule:
  • Day shift
