The Bakery Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality bakery products by following standardized recipes, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, controlling wastage, and ensuring timely production as per daily sales and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Baking
Prepare and bake breads, pizzas, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items as per standard recipes.
Follow BOM and recipe sheets to maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion size.
Execute daily production plans based on sales forecasts and outlet requirements.
Handle ovens, mixers, proofers, and other bakery equipment efficiently and safely.
Ensure correct dough preparation, fermentation, shaping, baking, and finishing processes.
Quality Control
Maintain consistent product quality, appearance, and taste.
Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials and finished products.
Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) is followed for all ingredients and prepared items.
Hygiene & Food Safety
Maintain kitchen hygiene as per FSSAI and company food safety standards.
Follow personal hygiene and grooming standards at all times.
Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Inventory & Wastage Control
Assist in daily raw material stock checks and consumption tracking.
Minimize wastage and report spoilage, damage, or variances.
Support inventory records and coordinate with the kitchen manager for requisitions.
