Job Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Bakery Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in baking, pastry preparation, and dessert innovation, with the ability to maintain consistency, quality, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts. Develop new recipes, seasonal menus, and creative dessert concepts. Ensure consistent quality, taste, texture, and presentation of all products. Manage daily production planning based on forecast and orders. Maintain ingredient inventories and coordinate with the purchasing team. Monitor kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and workstation cleanliness. Train and guide junior chefs, helpers, and kitchen staff. Handle baking equipment with proper care and ensure timely maintenance. Maintain wastage control and cost efficiency without compromising quality. Ensure timely preparation for display counters, pre-orders, and bulk orders.

Requirements

2-5 years of experience as a Bakery Chef, Pastry Chef, or similar role. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and dessert trends. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for innovation. Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene protocols. Flexibility to work morning shifts, weekends, and festive rush hours.
