Position Overview
The Production Associate/Assistant (Confectionery) will support the confectionery production team in preparing, assisting, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the confectionery section. The role involves working under the guidance of senior chefs to maintain the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency in producing Flurys' signature confectionery items.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, production, and finishing of confectionery items (chocolates, pralines, cakes, pastery, fudge, etc.).
Support the execution of recipes as per Flurys' standard guidelines and quality benchmarks.
Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients accurately under supervision.
Operate and maintain confectionery production equipment (tempering machines, moulds, mixers, etc.).
Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished products.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the production area in compliance with FSSAI guidelines.
Monitor stock of raw materials and report shortages to the production supervisor.
Assist in packaging, labeling, and maintaining product consistency.
Work collaboratively with bakery and pastry teams for integrated product requirements.
Follow safety procedures and company protocols at all times.
Support senior chefs in trials, innovation, and seasonal product development.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Diploma/Degree in Bakery & Confectionery / Hotel Management preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in confectionery production (candies, chocolates, fudge, or similar) preferred.
Freshers with strong interest and training in confectionery may also be considered.
Skills & Competencies
Basic knowledge of confectionery techniques (tempering chocolate, moulding, sugar work, etc.).
Attention to detail and passion for quality products.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong sense of hygiene, food safety, and discipline.
Team player with willingness to learn and adapt.
Good organizational and time management skills.
