You will be responsible for creating high-quality bags based on design specifications, ensuring strong construction and a premium finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Stitch bags according to design patterns and quality standards.
Operate industrial sewing machines (flat-bed, post-bed, cylinder-bed, etc.).
Work with materials such as leather, canvas, denim, faux leather, nylon, and other textiles.
Cut fabric or leather according to templates and patterns.
Assemble different components of bags (zippers, linings, handles, buttons, etc.).
Repair or alter existing bags as required.
Ensure quality control at every stage of stitching.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workspace.
Coordinate with designers or production managers for custom or bulk orders.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a bag stitcher or similar role (1-3 years preferred).
Skilled in using sewing machines and hand tools.
Understanding of bag construction, pattern reading, and finishing.
Attention to detail and precision in stitching.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Basic knowledge of materials and hardware used in bags.
Flexibility to work on different types of bags (backpacks, handbags, totes, pouches, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with leather or high-end materials.
Knowledge of hand-stitching techniques.
Experience in production settings or boutique-level crafting.
Work Environment:
Workshop or factory setting.
May require long hours of sitting and concentration.
Exposure to fabric dust and machine noise.
