Job Description

We are setting up a small in-house unit to manufacture soft luggage products (backpacks, duffels, suitcases, etc.). We are looking for a senior, hands-on bag professional who can take ownership of pattern development, cutting control, sampling, and early production setup.

Pattern & product development: Develop master patterns for backpacks / soft bags. Convert design ideas into producible panel structures. Decide seam allowances, reinforcements, stitch logic. Ensure patterns are repeatable and scalable

Sampling & Prototyping. Make first samples and iterate improvements. Identify construction issues early. Finalise sample before bulk production

Cutting Control. Decide fabric grain direction and marker layout. Cut first sets personally. Train and supervise junior cutting assistant. Control fabric wastage and accuracy

Production Setup: Recommend required sewing machines and tools. Define stitch sequence and assembly order. Help set up shop floor layout. Support hiring and testing of sewing tailors

Quality & Training: Set quality benchmarks for stitching and finishing. Train tailors on construction standards. Troubleshoot production issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
