Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Backup Administrator to join our Backup & Storage operations team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing enterprise backup environments using Commvault and NetApp technologies. This role involves monitoring backup jobs, performing basic troubleshooting, and supporting restoration requests while learning advanced configurations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain daily backup jobs using Commvault and NetApp storage systems.
Perform basic troubleshooting for failed backups and escalate complex issues.
Assist in implementing backup policies and schedules.
Support restoration requests and ensure data integrity.
Maintain documentation of backup activities and system configurations.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure adherence to ITIL processes.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
1-3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or backup administration.
Basic understanding of Commvault backup software and NetApp storage concepts (Snapshots, SnapMirror).
Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals and storage technologies.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
Exposure to scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
