Software Engineer Lead

Role: Senior Member Technical Staff

Experience: 10+ years

Location: Chennai

Mode: Hybrid (3 days WFO)

Job Summary

As a Software Engineer Lead, you will oversee a team of talented engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality deliverables, providing technical leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and achieve project goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration. Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions that meet business requirements. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and priorities. Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines across all development activities. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner. Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to the overall technical strategy.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Strong expertise in software engineering principles, including design patterns and algorithms. Proficiency in full-stack development, including front-end and back-end technologies. Proficiency in programming languages such as Node.JS Strong experience with SQL, Database design, and DB migrations Strong experience with Git workflows Strong Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience with cloud platforms such AWS, Google Cloud or Azure Experience in Kafka, Kubernetes Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Experience with agile development methodologies is preferred.
