Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical professional to join our team as

Backend Manager - WIP (Work In Progress) Management

. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend operations, MIS reporting, and data management within the

insurance domain

. The role involves overseeing WIP tracking, process optimization, team supervision, and coordination with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth operational flow and timely completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor

Work In Progress (WIP)

activities across various insurance processes to ensure timely completion and accuracy. Oversee backend operations related to policy issuance, servicing, renewals, and data reconciliation. Create, maintain, and analyze

MIS reports

, dashboards, and trackers to monitor performance and highlight process gaps. Ensure

data accuracy

and timely submission of reports to management and stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams (operations, underwriting, finance, etc.) for smooth workflow and issue resolution. Utilize

Excel proficiency

to prepare detailed reports, pivot tables, and automated trackers. Identify process bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Maintain strong

understanding of insurer systems

, ensuring accurate data flow between internal systems and insurer platforms. Ensure compliance with company policies, audit standards, and data protection guidelines. Lead, mentor, and train backend team members to ensure adherence to SLA and quality benchmarks. Support management in planning, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Excellent proficiency in

MS Excel

(advanced formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, data analysis). Strong knowledge of

WIP management

,

MIS reporting

, and backend operations. Sound understanding of

insurance domain processes

and

insurer systems

(Life / General Insurance). Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to handle large datasets and meet strict timelines. Team management and leadership abilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

6-10 years of experience in

backend operations, MIS, or WIP management

within the

insurance domain

.

Industry Preference:

Insurance(preferred) / NBFC / Financial Services.
